ESR® Distinctive Background
The Mexican Philanthropy Center (Cemefi) was established in 1988 as a privately-run, non-profit organization with the primary objective of fostering and activating citizen engagement to create social value that revolves around individuals.
Corporate social responsibility has evolved into a critical element of Mexican companies' business strategies, enhancing their competitive edge by integrating social responsibility management into their overall approach, thereby fostering sustainable development.
The ESR® Distinctive represents a methodology for evaluating the advancement of social responsibility within businesses.
In 2023, Cemefi adopted a new model for the ESR® Distinctive, guided by strategic pillars, which include:
