Kory Yamashita steps in as Operations Leader for the Terrace office
We’re excited to announce that Kory Yamashita, P.Eng., EGBC, has moved into the Operations Leader role in Terrace, bolstering the team with more than 17 years of Allnorth experience.
Kory has an extensive background in civil engineering, land development, indigenous community infrastructure, and project management. Key projects include Gingolx Drainage and Roads Paving, Kitsumkalum Logistics Park, NSD Inland Port, pipeline projects for Pacific Northern Gas, and QETDZ Industrial Park for Taisheng International. His exceptional leadership is evident in the collaborative approach he fosters with his team, and his focus on providing exceptional client-centric service.
Kory has a wide range of bankable skills he brings to the table: preparing cost estimates, performing inspections, assessing system deficiencies, designing, preparing tender and contract documents, and reviewing construction records. He draws on these valuable assets through all project phases, from the preliminary stages of design through to field reviews during construction, to arrive at practical and cost-effective solutions.

Kory brings a wealth of office and field experience and a strong background in leadership through his previous roles as Assistant Operations Leader, Engineering Group Lead, and Project Management Group Lead. His extensive knowledge and expertise will be invaluable to our Terrace team. We look forward to his collaborative approach, innovative solutions, and constructive guidance in his new leadership position at Allnorth.
Darren Hoffos takes on Assistant Operations Leader role for the Terrace office
We’re thrilled to announce that Darren Hoffos, A.Sc.T., has moved into the Assistant Operations Leader role in our Terrace office bringing with him more than 30 years of surveying, materials testing, and construction management expertise.
As a Survey Technologist, Design Engineer Technologist and Project Manager, Darren’s experience encompasses project management and coordination, as well as preparing designs, specifications, and cost estimates for infrastructure, construction and reconstruction projects.
He has conducted a wide variety of surveys using a diverse range of equipment on heavy industry, civil, and forestry projects as well as managing numerous successful projects in Northern BC. Featured projects include the Kemano T2 Project for Hatch/Rio Tinto, the Long Lake Hydro Project for LLHI, Regional Power, and the BC Hydro Site C Clean Energy project.
