Our Kamloops office was recently alerted to a plea on Facebook to help Little Farmers Zoo with upgrading its facility. Once we discovered what support was required, our survey crew donated their time and expertise to conducting a site survey on the property.

We much appreciate the effort of the Allnorth Team Members involved in the project:

  • The survey crew who donated their time and expertise. Lead by Land Surveyor, Tim Erickson, the crew included Survey Party Chiefs Matt Rivest and Keivan Hazrati, as well as Land Surveyor in Training, Sid Kendall.
  • Tanya Lamarche (Geomatics Technician) who is drafting the final plan.
  • Shannon Hardman (Project Manager), who brought this opportunity to the forefront.
  • Brad Lively (Kamloops Division Manager) who supported this pro bono work.
  • Mike Erickson who captured it beautifully on camera.

Located in Westsyde BC, Little Farmers Zoo is open daily year-round. The proprietor, Al Threatful, invites visitors to feed the wide variety of animals to be found on the property; from small farm animals like goats, sheep, ducks, chickens and turkeys to the more exotic, emus, pheasants and peacocks.

Al relies on individuals, businesses and community groups to donate labour and materials to projects that keep the farm operational.  To see how you can also get involved in volunteering your services to this organization, refer to the list of projects on this page requiring support: Little Farmers Zoo.
