We’re excited to announce that Darcy Black, CET, PMP, has joined the Allnorth team as Operations Leader for our Calgary South and Sherwood Park offices, bringing with him more than 27 years of experience to the company.
Darcy joined Allnorth via our acquisition of Dynamysk Automation Ltd, Canada’s leading company for commissioning and integrated lifecycle solutions across industrial instrumentation, controls (automation), and electrical (ICE) disciplines. He has a deep background in a variety of industries such as oil & gas, pulp & paper, water utilities, and shipping, to name a few.
As a certified Project Management Professional, Darcy has managed small site-based MOC projects up to large, complex, multi-year automation focused programs, interfacing with multiple client, manufacturer and installation contractors. His technical knowledge and expertise include instrumentation, DCS, PLC and SIS design, configuration and implementation.
Darcy brings valuable insight and comprehensive knowledge to each role he undertakes. Some key positions over the years include Automation Project Manager for Richardson Canola expansion plant, Control System Project Manager for Braya Renewables at Come By Chance Refinery, and VP Engineering Edmonton, Senior Project Manager for Dynamysk Automation.
