The Sonora International Mining Congress was created in 1995 in Hermosillo, Mexico, as a local event to highlight new services and developments within the regional mining companies. Over the years, the prestige of the event has grown and has become the ideal setting to draw the attention of potential national and international clients. The congress is one of the five most outstanding mining events in North America. It is the second largest in Mexico and the largest in Hermosillo. Attending the event offers companies a great opportunity to expand their networks and establish relationships with different people in the mining industry.
This year, the congress was held from October 18 to 22 at the Expo Forum convention center, with more than 15,000 attendees, including over 3,000 visitors from all over the Mexican Republic and around 350 international visitors from countries such as the United States, Canada, China, and others.
Allnorth Ingénieria was a sponsor of the conference’s annual golf tournament, held on October 18th, with selected invitees from several companies attending the congress. This event served as an icebreaker between the participants to give them the opportunity to network informally, while establishing and strengthening relationships.
The Allnorth team hosted participants at a stand at the 9th hole with refreshing drinks, providing various company directors a chance to grow their networks and discuss upcoming opportunities. The congress was attended by more than 225 national and international companies and provided excellent opportunities to identify potential future clients for Allnorth Ingénieria. With many of the participants being providers of equipment and services that will be of interest, the team also sought to build upon Allnorth’s list of potential suppliers. At the end of the week, Allnorth hosted an event with live music and typical local food, further strengthening working relationships and expansion opportunities in Mexico and Latin America.
